This trek is located in the dreamy surroundings in the Parvati Valley. Forgoing to this trek one has to cross the Malana Nallah that flows right across the Parvati Valley. It is one of the most engrossing day treks one would ever take as it is located at 10000 feet above sea level.

One will surely enjoy the perfect natural setting around. The main attractions of these place are its hashish instilled in the air. The local people of Malana village do not follow judicial powers of India and have their own democratic government. Malana village government is considered the oldest democracy in the world.

The locals here do not respect the outside authority. Till now, no police ever entered the village. Himalayan flowers that range from 1500 m to 3500 m can be found all over. You will find a variety of different flowers in the Chanderkhani pass and Rohtang pass area. In summer months there are few wild animals also around.

  • Jamadgni Rishi: Jamadgni Rishi is alleged to be the first to discover the gorgeous hilltop village of Malana in Kullu. According to Hindu Mythology, Lord Shiva endowed Jamdagni Rishi with Malana after his request for a place where he could venerate nature’s elegance. When Jamdagni Rishi drew closer to the Malana Valley, he encountered Banasura which is a giant mischievous spirit who directed the entire region.

  • Trek to Malana and night stay at Malana.
  • Drive back to Kasol and leave for Bhuntar.
